So each session is kinda sporadic with what people are doing, @monarchisms, for example, has focused on establishing the base and I’ve been building toward fighting bosses, and this most recent session @arintheman built a mob grinder. Very up in the air, until/hopefully we team up to take down a boss together lol
As for skins, I think only a few of us actually have ydydo-themed skins. I’ll add my golden one below, and if anyone else wants to add a photo of their skin feel free @transandor @lampozzz @bizarepistachio
@lovelyachieve is also the most likely to have a full reference for what everyone’s up to with their position as our omniscient photographer lmao
I don’t have a special skin for YDYD:O and tbh I forgot what the back of my skin looked like.
For what I’ve been doing, it’s all over the place. I can’t really remember my first death but I think it was when I found a mineshaft and was attempting to flee a skeleton, a zombie, some lava, and a bit of fire. I did accidentally miss two sessions but I’m gonna try my best to finish it out. I explored a lot and found a village where I brought back Braincell the cat, then I spent a bit looking for a forest of dark oak (I think it’s a mystical forest biome?) so we could finally get a roof on the pink house. Like @thedeaddandy said, I just built a mob grinder in hopes of collecting some XP and items like string and arrows. In building that mob grinder I died the second time falling down the middle. And then, like the utter buffoon I am, almost died again doing the same darn thing, but this time surviving on half a heart. Once I’m sure that the grinder is working, I might spend some time exploring caves and finding goodies and perhaps get some proper armor.
btw, if you dislike any of these new changes that tumblr is implementing, please visit https://www.tumblr.com/support and select the "Feedback" option and write about the change you don't like. Even if it's just a simple "i don't like x change because y. this makes my experience on tumblr significantly worse. please either reverse this change or make it optional" it's better than not giving any feedback at all!
"yes, this is what we should be doing instead of complaining on our blogs" i can promise you that those two things are not mutually exclusive. and that it's fun to complain on your blog
he craves the mines. there's purple too but if i ever get down to that i need everyone to know right now i am going to find the warden and ending it all right there

I do actually have a ydyd:o variation to my skin! (i also have a crying obsidian one for when that happens) My pants are a lighter brown, and my sash/belt, hair band, and eyes are gold.
As for what I've been doing? For a good while there I was just trying to get a good supply of iron while trying to find diamond (never did :< ). During the first session I actually found the ancient city (it's pretty much right below spawn, so it really wasn't that hard ..
After dying the first time I went off to a nearby village and started to just kinda establish myself there a bit? I'm less going towards end game and more just slowly building out what I've got there at the village. (it's the lack of diamond gear, man! I don't feel safe!)
I've really gotta get a good screenshot of the little house I made in the village.. Maybe @lovelyachieve has a good shot of it?
